PROMPT #17 - QUIT

NEVER QUIT

Sometimes, we face distractions
along the road we’ve chosen to share.
We worry about things that don’t matter.
We obsess over the moment.
But clouds and storms from the day-to-day
can’t completely block out the sun
that shines within us and warms our love.
While others might see a bump in the road
as an excuse to move on,
we see it as one of those things that happens
and resolve not to quit that which makes us one.

INSPIRED TO QUIT

At my computer,
I learned to explore my muse
and quit the rat race.

TO QUIT OR NOT TO QUIT

Another poem due today,
but rhymes don’t seem to fit.
This poet’s well is deep and dry.
Perhaps, it’s time to quit.

No inspiration comes to me.
I think, I stare, I sit.
The only thought to come my way
suggests it’s time to quit.

Then suddenly an idea forms.
My muse begins to flit
and tosses out the words to write.
Some other time, I’ll quit!

QUIT THE ‘TUDE

Drop the attitude.
Better than all you are not.
Quit playing the snob.
